വികസിത രാഷ്ട്രങ്ങള്‍ അണുവികിരണ മാലിന്യങ്ങളും വികസ്വര രാജ്യങ്ങള്‍ എന്നു വിളിക്കുന്ന രാജ്യങ്ങളില്‍ തള്ളുന്നതുപോലെ ഞങ്ങളുടെ പിന്നാമ്പുറത്ത് നിങ്ങളുടെ മാലിന്യം നിക്ഷേപിക്കാന്‍ കഴിയില്ല എന്ന് ഗ്രാമീണര്‍ പറയാന്‍ തയ്യാറാകണം. നമ്മള്‍ അവരുടെ മുന്‍പില്‍ ഭിക്ഷ യാചിക്കാന്‍ നില്‍ക്കുന്നവരുടെ നീണ്ടനിരയിലാണെന്നും; അവര്‍ക്കിഷ്ടമുള്ളത്, വിഷമയമായാലും അല്ലെങ്കിലും, നമ്മുടെ പിച്ചച്ചട്ടിയില്‍ കൊണ്ടുവന്നു തള്ളാം എന്നുള്ള മനോഭാവം മാറ്റണം. അത്തരം സമരങ്ങള്‍ നഗരങ്ങളില്‍ ജീവിക്കുന്നവരെ അവര്‍ എന്തു ഭക്ഷിക്കുന്നു, എന്തു കുടിക്കുന്നു, എന്തുപയോഗിക്കുന്നു, എന്തു സൃഷ്ടിക്കുന്നു എന്നതിനെ പറ്റിയൊക്കെ പുനര്‍ ചിന്തിക്കുന്നതിനു കാരണമാകും എന്നു ഞാന്‍ കരുതുന്നു.
(That hope also lies with
the struggles. Becous, if the villagers say no, you can’t dump your waste in

the waste including the nuclear waste or the toxic wastes. On to the lands of
so called developing countries, as a we are in a quene to before them and they
can give in your begging bowl whatever, they want to. Whether poisonous or not
so poisonous. So, I think that kind of struggle also will compel the cities to
rethink about what they are eating, what they are drinking, what they are using
and what they are creating, including the waste.)
